The USA-Taiwan Commonwealth Foundation was established on February 28, 2001 in the State of Florida. It is a non-profit member-supported educational organization.
The Purposes of the Foundation are:
1. To persuade Taiwanese and American people that Taiwan should join USA as a commonwealth territory through a democratic process to preserve democracy in Taiwan and to strenghen the U.S. national defense capability.
2. To educate American people about Communist China's threat to U.S. national interests and the world peace
3. To propose ways of solving the impasse of Taiwan issue through peaceful means
4. To promote friendship and understanding between the people of Taiwan and U.S.
Among other work, we will:
* Promote the merit of Taiwan joining the USA as commonwealth territory in the U.S. and in Taiwan
* Testify before the U.S. Congress, the United Nations, and other international Organizations
* Promote news coverage of issues of U.S. national interests and foreign policy Relating to Taiwan and China
* Speak to academic, civic and community groups in the U.S. and Taiwan
