Shall the majority of Taiwanese decide that Taiwan wants to join the U.S. as a commonwealth territory in the future by majority vote, America should take heed to the petition, and more than welcome the Taiwanese as bothers and sisters just like people in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the Island of Guam. Due to its unique strategic location, Taiwan's joining U.S. as a commonwealth territory would substantially increase our capability of defending U.S. national interests in the Far East.
